The National Association of Female Comrades (NAFC) Ogun State Chapter is outraged and heartbroken by the gruesome murder of a 300-level female student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta
(FUNAAB) in 2024.
This senseless killing is a stark reminder of the escalating violence against women and girls in our society.
We are further dismayed by the suspects history of violence, having allegedly killed his ex-girlfriend in 2018 and his biological sister in 2020. The fact that he was able to commit such heinous crimes without facing justice is a clear failure of our criminal justice system.
NAFC Ogun State Chapter stands in solidarity with the family and friends.of the deceased, demanding justice for her brutal murder. We call on the relevant authorities to
○Ensure the suspect is brought te book and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
○Conduct a thorough investigation into the suspects past crimes and alleged cover-ups.
○Take concrete steps to address the pervasive issue of gender-based violence in our society.
We will not stand idly by while women and girls are brutally murdered. We demand justice and accountability.
