Temporary Hold on Unapproved Events and Parties
Dear OOUites
We hope this message finds you well. As the Student Union Government, we are
committed to ensuring the safety, well-being, and fairness of all students participating in university-related events and parties.
We have noticed instances where events and parties have been organized without prior
scrutiny or review by our office. This poses potential risks such as safety concerns, lack
of proper planning, and potential violations of university policies.
To maintain a secure and enjoyable environment for everyone, we are implementing a
temporary hold on any event or party that has not undergone proper scrutiny or review
by our office. This measure is necessary to ensure that all gatherings adhere to
university guidelines and promote a positive atmosphere.
To proceed with your event or party, please follow these steps:
1. Contact the SUG Social Director to schedule a meeting for review and approval.
2. Provide all necessary details, including event date, location, purpose, and estimated
number of attendees.
3. Ensure that your event aligns with university policies and guidelines, as well as any
specific requirements set forth by our office.
Once your event has been approved, you will receive a confirmation notice, allowing
you to proceed with your planning. We kindly ask for your understanding and
cooperation during this process, as our primary goal is to guarantee a safe and
enjoyable experience for all students.
We appreciate your commitment to upholding the values and standards of our
university community. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not
hesitate to reach out to us.
VABANJO
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE UNION DIRECTIVES; THE ORGANIZERS OF SUCH AN
EVENT SHOULD BE PREPARED TO FACE THE CONSEQUENCES THAT ACCOMPANY IT.
Best regards.
