The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries has addressed online criticism surrounding a recent testimony, emphasizing that the church does not fabricate testimonies. The controversy arose after a viral video surfaced, allegedly showing a church member recounting a dramatic tale of disarming four armed robbers and taking possession of an “AK-27.”
However, Pastor Chidi Louis, Head of Public Relations and Media, has clarified that the video is fabricated. In a statement, Louis urged Nigerians to disregard the video and visit the church’s platform to hear the full testimony. He explained that the woman’s story actually occurred in a dream, not in reality.
Louis warned the public against believing everything they see on the internet, citing that bloggers often edit content to ridicule the work of God. He described these bloggers as “wicked and devilish.” The church’s media department also denounced the video as fake on their platform, urging the public to disregard it.
The full clip of the lady’s testimony was released on the church’s TikTok handle, clarifying that her story was indeed a dream. The original testimony had been corrected by a pastor, who stated that the woman had mistakenly referred to an “AK-47” as an “AK-27.” Despite the controversy, the church remains committed to sharing genuine testimonials and spreading the message of God.
