The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja and the Port Harcourt International Airport in Nigeria have received recognition from the Airport Council International (ACI Africa) for their outstanding dedication to airport emergency management and resilience. The airports were honored with plaques at the 33rd Annual General Assembly of ACI Africa in Johannesburg, South Africa, during the Gala Night.
According to a statement by Tunde Moshood, Special Assistant to the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development on Media and Communications, the awards were presented by Ali Tounsi, ACI Africa Secretary-General, and Emmanuel Chaves, ACI Africa President.
