By Omeiza AjayiThe investigative panel assigned to look into allegations that convicted cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, was exempted from the custodial facility while serving his six-month prison term, has submitted its findings, refuting these claims.However, the panel did acknowledge that Bobrisky enjoyed certain privileges during his incarceration.Uju Agomoh, Executive Director and founder of Prisoners’ Rehabilitation and Welfare Action (PRAWA), a member of the panel, stated that there was no evidence to substantiate the allegations that Bobrisky was allowed to remain outside the prison during his sentence, which ran from April 12 to August 5, 2024.“The panel did not find any evidence thus far suggesting that Mr. Okuneye was outside the custodial center during his imprisonment,” Agomoh said.She further explained that Bobrisky served his six-month correctional sentence with the standard remission applicable to such cases.
