In a statement shared on his Instagram account, he clarified that he did not intend to impersonate police officers.After being questioned at a police station regarding the video, VeryDarkMan expressed regret, stating, “I didn’t intend to impersonate the police in any way and I tender my unreserved apologies to the Nigeria Police Force and the office of the Inspector General of Police.” He also took the opportunity to advise others to seek permission from law enforcement before using any attire that resembles police uniforms, emphasizing the potential for misuse by individuals with ill intentions.Reflecting on the situation, he shared that the incident taught him valuable lessons. He clarified that when he referred to himself as CSP in the video, he meant “Chief Social Media Person,” unaware of the confusion with the police rank.
