Tragedy has struck the family of Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, with the passing of his eldest brother, Engineer Sunday Makinde. He was 65 years old. According to Chief Olumuyiwa Makinde, the Bada Olubadan of Ibadanland, Engineer Sunday Makinde’s sudden death occurred at his Ibadan residence at 3:20 am on Friday, January 24, 2025.
Chief Olumuyiwa Makinde announced the sad news with a heavy heart, stating that his brother had passed on to eternal glory. Engineer Sunday Makinde is survived by his siblings, including Governor Seyi Makinde, as well as his children and grandchildren.
