The Glory Lucas Foundation continues its dedication to mental health awareness with the second day of its #ProjectFeedAMind campaign, which took place at Falomo Senior High School in Ikoyi on February 6, 2025.

This event equipped students with vital knowledge and practical tools to tackle mental health challenges effectively.

Founder and CEO Expensive Lucas kicked off the session by introducing the foundation and its #ProjectFeedAMind campaign—an initiative lasting three months aimed at providing young individuals with the resources to prioritize their mental health.Engaging with the attentive students, she addressed common issues such as anxiety and depression, underscoring the importance of seeking assistance.

She also shared an emergency contact number, 112, for crisis situations.Psychologist Esther Akinola served as the guest speaker, offering valuable insights into the significance of mental health and its effects on emotions and daily life. She identified key warning signs of mental distress, including ongoing sadness, trouble concentrating, and social withdrawal.

Acknowledging that all emotions are valid, she encouraged students to reach out for help when necessary. Esther also guided students through a breathing exercise designed to help manage stress effectively. Key highlights of the event included interactive learning sessions on mental health fundamentals, a Q&A session that allowed students to engage with the speakers, and a “Positivity Jar” filled with uplifting notes to enhance their spirits. Additionally, students were recognized with cash prizes and gifts to motivate attentiveness and engagement.
