The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is currently investigating Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, the former minister of women affairs, over claims of fraud amounting to N138 million.

The EFCC alleges that during her tenure, the former minister engaged in the misappropriation of funds, breaches of procurement procedures, and the diversion of public funds totaling N138,413,253.89, linked to the allocation of the ministry’s 2023 budget. According to an EFCC insider, Kennedy-Ohanenye arrived at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja on Thursday around 11 a.m. and was still undergoing questioning at the time of this report.
