A man has been charged with murder after reportedly fatally shooting the administrator of a community WhatsApp group who had removed him from the chat, police reported on Saturday, March 8.Mushtaq Ahmed was shot and killed on Thursday evening, March 6, in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, which shares a border with Afghanistan and has a history of violent sectarian conflict.

The suspect, identified only as Ashfaq, has been charged with his murder, according to police documents reviewed by AFP and a local police official.According to a statement from Mushtaq’s brother, the conflict escalated after Mushtaq removed Ashfaq from the WhatsApp group following a disagreement.
The brother claimed that both individuals had planned to meet to resolve the issue, but Ashfaq arrived armed and opened fire, resulting in Mushtaq’s death.
