Senate President Godswill Akpabio has urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Nigerians to pray for President Bola Tinubu’s success in the upcoming 2027 election. Akpabio issued this appeal during a special Iftar and Lent dinner hosted by the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) in Abuja, expressing confidence that the president’s second term is assured.
In response to opposition efforts to challenge Tinubu’s position in the upcoming presidential election, Akpabio expressed optimism that the APC would secure additional seats nationwide in the next election cycle. He reassured party members of their collective commitment to achieving victory, saying, “Can we say amen! We will offer prayers for our party, affirming that victory is ours in 2027. Can we say a loud amen? We will also pray for Mr. President, ensuring his second term is secured. Can we shout a loud amen!” Further addressing attendees, Akpabio stated that the APC aims to expand its governance presence across all 36 states.
