Edison Ehie, the Chief of Staff to suspended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, has claimed that he was offered a bribe of N5 billion to facilitate the governor’s impeachment. In an interview on Channels Television’s ‘Sunday Politics,’ Ehie asserted that he has solid evidence of this offer saved on his mobile phone.
He further mentioned that he has printed and disseminated copies of this evidence as a precaution against any potential threats to his safety.

I have the details here,” Ehie stated. “I’ve printed and shared this information to protect myself in case they decide to attack me. I already have a son and a brother,” he added.
Ehie recounted that the alleged attempt to bribe him occurred while he was serving as the Majority Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
The ongoing political turmoil in Rivers State, which led to a state of emergency declared on March 18, is linked to the power struggle between FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
