The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the results of the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which took place nationwide on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
This information was shared in a statement by JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, on Sunday.Candidates who participated in the examination can access their results by sending “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to either 55019 or 66019, using the phone number they registered for the exam.JAMB explained that this optional mock examination was designed to evaluate the Board’s annual innovations and provide candidates with a chance to experience the Computer-Based Test (CBT) format.According to JAMB, of the 200,115 candidates who expressed interest in taking the mock exam, two later withdrew, resulting in a final registered count of 200,113 candidates.

However, 73,844 were absent on the exam day, and 88 candidates were disqualified due to biometric verification issues, leaving 126,181 candidates who successfully completed the test.
The Board noted that these challenges are expected due to the new features implemented to improve the overall conduct of the main UTME.
They also expressed gratitude for the support of candidates and parents in ensuring a smoother process.
The mock examination acts as a trial run for the UTME, allowing the board to test new innovations while helping candidates become familiar with the CBT environment,” JAMB stated.“Over the years, this initiative has effectively met its objectives, addressing identified shortcomings and preparing candidates with valuable experience for the main examination.”JAMB urged all candidates to continue making the necessary efforts to ensure a more favorable examination experience that meets their needs.
