Kazeem Sanusi, a mathematics student from the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), has achieved a remarkable new world record for the “Longest Mathematics Lesson.” He delivered an impressive lecture lasting 31 hours, 42 minutes, and 54 seconds, surpassing the previous record of 26 hours of continuous teaching.The historic event, attended by representatives from Guinness World Records, was celebrated by an enthusiastic audience, including the University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, SAN. Also present were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Management Services, Prof. Adegboyega Fawole; the Registrar, Mr. Mansur Alfanla; the Dean of Physical Sciences, Prof. Abdullahi Alafara Baba; the Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Alex Akanmu; and the Student Union President, Comrade Victor Agezeh, among others.UNILORIN spokesperson, Kunle Akogun, noted that Kazeem is now eagerly awaiting official confirmation from Guinness World Records.
In his remarks, Prof. Egbewole expressed immense pride in Kazeem’s accomplishment and emphasized the university’s commitment to encouraging students to pursue their passions.
He expressed hope that Kazeem’s achievement would inspire others within the university to strive for their own successes and contribute to making the institution’s name shine even brighter.
