A coalition of Christian youths, operating under the Concerned Christian Youth Forum, has called on the Federal Government to urgently address the escalating wave of violence across Nigeria, particularly in the North, where terrorist and bandit attacks have resulted in thousands of deaths and displacements.

The youths voiced their concerns during a peaceful protest in Abuja on Wednesday, holding placards bearing messages such as “Stop the Killings Now!” and “Justice for the Victims,” among others.

During the demonstration, the group’s leader, James Adama, stated that the ongoing bloodshed has devastated many communities and left Nigerians—especially those in Christian-majority areas—living in fear. “We are here to raise our voices against the persistent killings and bloodshed in Nigeria,” James declared.

This issue transcends religion; it is a matter of humanity.

The insecurity across many parts of the country is alarming, and we urge the government to take decisive action to put an end to it.”He further emphasized that the failure of authorities to prosecute those responsible for attacks has emboldened criminal elements.

This protest also serves as a reminder to the government of the urgent need to curb these senseless killings and to do everything possible to restore peace and security to our nation,” he concluded.
