When handshake is going beyond the elbow, careful vigilance is required. The attention of the Leadership of OOUSUG has been drawn to the news trending on social media regarding her support for a Governorship Aspirant. This is to debunk the erroneous view of people regarding the rumour.
As the threat of ASUU Strike is elongating the study years of the students even without having an extra year, the prestigious OOU SUG is not for gaining political popularity, knowing the fact that we’re in the electioneering period.
It is expedient to add that, holding the union at ransom and the misused of the media to paint our esteem Union for a political gain by the said political party is *ultimately disclaimed and would never be accepted and not tolerated,* and any other Political by extension. The said Party has been enjoined to take down the news so as to clear the prejudice and instigation of Students and general indigene of Ogun State.
OOU SUG is not for a political scoring card orchestrated by any party by which the students shall support any candidate of their choices haven cross checked and examined the manifesto of various political parties and satisfied with that with their interests at heart.
We beseech every media body to always verify and authenticate the news they feed the populace.

The best of all aspirants would be supported with a view to having quality education and at the same time rescue the Nigerian Students from the incessant Strike by the Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) and timely bursary disbursement for the students. OOUSUG remains a well organized and ideological students’ Union body that has no political attachment and relations with any Political Party. Except in her advocacy know how for the best interest of her dear students in order to uphold their dignity, social and educational wellbeing.
