“I’m yet to recover from your unalloyed support in the midst of life-threatening intimidation” Dist. Sen. Elvis Segun Ekundina expresses overwhelming gratitude to NANS legitimate Senators, Cadres, and other well-meaning stakeholders at the just concluded NANS National Elections.
The newly elected legitimate Senate President of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS National), Dist. Sen. Elvis Segun Ekundina has appreciated the dogged and undaunted authentic Senators, NANS JCC Executives, Zonal Executives and Stakeholders of NANS from across all zones and institutions of higher learning for their supports and massive votes that helped him coast to victory in Abuja.
He expressed joy and gratitude over the massive votes casted, nothing but the trust and confidence reposed in him contributed to his emergence as the National Senate President of the esteemed association.
In his statement, he thanked God who by His mercy made him come out victorious at the tensed NANS National Elective Congress and also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to legitimate senators who stood in the face of intimidation, oppression, and assaults of all kinds to make sure their voices were heard and their votes counted.
He further appreciated them for their immense solidarity and support for electing him the Senate President of NANS, an act of kindness and trust that he “cannot take for granted”.
He reiterated his commitment and absolute resolve to prioritize the protection of interest, defend the rights of, and promote the welfarism of Nigerian Students at all times and ensure that their voice is amplified to foster collective gains and dignity of Nigerian Students across board.
He further reaffirmed his dedication to serving the Nigerian Students in all honesty and exquisite transparency and accountability.
“No more shall any Nigerian Students be oppressed or intimidated under my watch as your Senate President, as I will formulate viable and effective laws that will ameliorate the hardship affecting Nigerian Students and which will provide lasting succour for the pains of the past endured”
In conclusion, he assured Nigerian Students to feel free to relate with him on issues bothering them and join him in his quest to serve them better as his victory is their victory being a key stakeholders of the organisation.
