Nigerian music star Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has set social media on fire after announcing a shocking personal decision he is officially changing his birthday date.
Taking to his page on Twitter (X), the singer declared that November 18, the day he shares with his twin brother Paul Okoye (Rudeboy), will no longer be recognized as his birthday.
According to him, his new official birthday will now be celebrated on November 30.
He emphasized that the decision is personal and urged fans, friends, and family to respect his choice, adding that he will no longer accept messages or gifts on the former date.“
Dear Family, Friends, and Fans,I’m making it official. November 18th is no longer my birthday celebration date… My birthday will now be celebrated on November 30th.
This is a personal decision, and I truly appreciate your understanding.
However, the announcement didn’t sit well with many Nigerians online.
Social media users quickly flooded the comment section, expressing shock, disappointment, and criticism over the move.
While some questioned the depth of the rift between the famous twin brothers, others mocked the idea, insisting that a birthday especially for twins isn’t something that can simply be changed.
The development has once again drawn attention to the long-standing tension between the former P-Square members, leaving fans worried that reconciliation may still be far off.
