The matriculation ceremony, held at the university’s main campus, gathered newly admitted students, proud parents, academic staff, and dignitaries to mark this significant milestone in the students’ academic journey.

In his welcome address, the Acting Vice Chancellor urged the matriculants to stay focused, disciplined, and dedicated to excellence.

He emphasized that admission into the university is only the first step in a transformative process, noting that Olabisi Onabanjo University rewards consistency, integrity, and hard work.“Your admission into this great citadel of learning is a call to responsibility.

You are expected to uphold the values of this university and pursue your studies with seriousness and commitment,” he said.

The event also featured the administration of the matriculation oath, formally admitting the students as bona fide members of the OOU community and committing them to the academic and moral standards of the institution.

Several students expressed excitement and optimism about the journey ahead, while parents and guardians conveyed appreciation and confidence in the university’s capacity to shape their wards for a successful future.

As the 2025/2026 academic session fully unfolds, students have been advised to remain focused, attend lectures regularly, and seek guidance whenever necessary.

OOU continues to strengthen its reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading universities in academic excellence, research, and student development.

Congratulations to all the newly matriculated students.

Your academic journey has just begun—embrace it with wisdom, courage, and determination.
