Members of the Doka Community in Kaduna have called on Governor Senator Uba Sani to investigate the tragic death of Ahmed Musa, a Senior Secondary Two (SS2) student at Government Technical College, who was discovered showing signs of severe violence and strangulation.
The victim’s father, Comrade Musa Muhammed, a journalist and activist, confirmed his son’s death on the school grounds. In a statement, he detailed that the incident took place on Sunday, February 16, 2025, stating his son “was brutally murdered by an unknown assailant.” He emphasized, “Ahmed Musa’s body was located on the premises of Government Technical College Malali, Kaduna,” where there were evident signs of violence and strangulation.Muhammed is demanding a thorough investigation to identify those responsible for his son’s death and is also seeking appropriate compensation for the family from anyone found to be involved. “As the only son of his mother, Ahmed’s death has caused immense grief and hardship for our family,” he lamented.Additionally, members of the Kaduna Doka Development Association (KDDA) have submitted a petition to the Governor titled “Urgent Appeal for Justice in the Murder of One of Our Member’s Sons (Ahmed Musa) at Technical School Malali.
In the petition, they expressed their deep sorrow and urgent plea for justice regarding this senseless act.Chairman of the KDDA, Sani Rabiu Bako, highlighted the profound impact of the crime, stating that “this heinous act has not only devastated the victim’s family but has also shaken our entire community.” He pointed out that Ahmed Musa’s brutal murder, under unclear circumstances, has left family and friends in disbelief.
The loss of such a promising young life is a tragedy that no family should endure, and the KDDA urges the Governor to intervene and ensure those responsible are brought to justice.
In the petition, the KDDA emphasized their commitment to promoting peace and unity within the community, expressing concern that recent events have undermined their sense of security.
They called for immediate action from the Governor’s office to restore confidence in the justice system and to convey that acts of violence will not be tolerated.
The petition also included requests for a thorough investigation into the case by the relevant authorities, alongside measures to enhance safety in educational institutions to safeguard young lives. The KDDA urged the government to strengthen security presence, improve surveillance, and promote community policing to prevent future incidents.
The KDDA acknowledged the government’s many challenges but expressed confidence that under the Governor’s leadership, the issue could be resolved efficiently and effectively.
They remain hopeful that appropriate actions will be taken to address these concerns and provide solace to the grieving family.In response to inquiries from The Guardian, Police Command spokesman DSP Mansir Hassan confirmed that an investigation is underway, stating, “Yes, we are investigating the matter.
