The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Nyesom Wike, has praised the significant role of women in the advancement of society.
Wike expressed his sentiments in a statement released on Saturday in honor of the 2025 International Women’s Day.
In the statement, which was issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Mr. Lere Olayinka, Wike emphasized that “women, the cornerstones of our families, deserve to be celebrated.”He highlighted that the FCT Administration is committed to ensuring that women receive the recognition they rightfully deserve.
Wike noted that women play a critical role as the caretakers of men and children, and their contributions to managing and sustaining the family— the foundational unit of society— are always valued.In his message to the women of the FCT, Wike encouraged them to continue their support for the government and assured them of additional benefits under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
