The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Southwest Zone D, led by Coordinator Comr. Owolewa Taiwo, expresses its deepest condolences to the families and communities impacted by the recent bandit attack in Ondo State, which tragically resulted in the loss of at least 20 lives.
This heinous act of violence underscores the urgent need for enhanced security measures throughout our communities.We stand united with the people of Ondo State during this trying period and unequivocally condemn this attack. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and all those affected by this tragedy.
In light of these unfortunate events, we urgently call on all governors in the Southwest to prioritize vigilance in securing our borders and communities.
The safety of our students, citizens, and future leaders must be paramount, and it is essential for us to take proactive steps to prevent such atrocities from happening again.We also urge all security agencies to intensify their efforts in protecting our communities. We cannot afford to be complacent in the face of increasing insecurity.
A coordinated and robust response from security forces is crucial in tackling the escalating threat of banditry and other forms of violence.Lastly, we encourage our students and all citizens to adopt a proactive approach: if you see something, say something. Being vigilant and promptly reporting suspicious activities can greatly enhance the safety and security of our communities.
