Former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has officially announced his candidacy for the 2027 gubernatorial election in Nasarawa State, representing the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Adamu made the announcement during a meeting with the APC State Working Committee in Lafia, the state capital, yesterday.
He attributed his decision to a “clarion call” from the people of Nasarawa, who he believes have faith in his leadership abilities and experience.
If elected as governor, he committed to establishing a government that is inclusive and focused on serving the people.
I am responding to the call of my people who believe that I can lead and advance Nasarawa,” Adamu expressed.
With the grace of God, my administration will be inclusive, transparent, and dedicated to delivering meaningful development across all sectors.
His declaration adds a notable name to the expanding list of candidates vying for the governorship seat in 2027.
