An Instagram user, Olaleye Olawale, further circulated these claims, stating that he attempted to contact the artist but was unsuccessful.
Olawale noted that a friend eventually reached out to him on behalf of Damilola.
He also mentioned that associates of King Sunny Ade had been unable to reach him and that Damilola believed her father was in danger of being held against his will.
Additionally, Damilola alleged that the involved individuals were forcing King Sunny Ade to perform multiple shows without fulfilling their commitments, thereby damaging his reputation.
She claimed they were controlling his finances to the detriment of his biological children.
Her concerns appeared to escalate after her last conversation with her father, during which he allegedly sounded distressed before the call was cut short.
In response, Dayo Adegeye categorically denied the allegations, describing them as malicious and unfounded.
He affirmed, “We want to assure the public that King Sunny Ade is safe and in good health.
There is no truth to the kidnapping rumors. We are actively working to address the situation and to identify those spreading false information.
He emphasized that the family and the artist’s team are committed to safeguarding his reputation and well-being.King Sunny Ade also addressed the matter directly via his official Instagram account, stating: “Contrary to the false and fabricated news circulating on April 28, 2025, claiming that I am missing, I hereby confirm that I am alive and well.
