Ayodele Mujidat Balogun, popularly known as Beere, has strongly condemned the disturbing acts of child trafficking uncovered in Awkuzu, Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, describing them as inhumane, wicked, and a gross violation of children’s rights.
Speaking on the incident, Balogun, who is the CEO of Concerta Integrated Services and Founder/CEO of Positive Thought Pattern Development Initiative, commended the Anambra State Police Command, particularly the Rapid Response Squad Awkuzu, for their swift and professional intervention which led to the rescue of 33 underage girls from the illegal operation.
She expressed deep concern over preliminary findings indicating that the premises was allegedly used for child trafficking and prostitution, noting that such acts reflect a dangerous level of moral decay in society.
As someone committed to human development and child protection, I find this deeply heartbreaking. Children must never be treated as commodities.
Those responsible for this crime must be brought to justice without delay,” she stated.Balogun called on relevant authorities to ensure the arrest of all suspects currently at large and urged the judiciary to prosecute the offenders thoroughly to serve as a strong deterrent.
She also appealed to parents, guardians, and community members to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to security agencies.
She reaffirmed her commitment to child advocacy and social impact, stressing that protecting children is a collective responsibility that must not be taken lightly.
