The Dr Sam Abioye Foundation has successfully carried out a multi-day free medical outreach in Gberigbe, delivering essential healthcare services to members of the community.
The outreach saw the presence of professional medical personnel, including doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, who provided consultations, conducted medical tests, and dispensed prescribed medications at no cost. Eyeglasses were also distributed free to beneficiaries in need, ensuring comprehensive care for patients.
Patients were treated based on their medical conditions after proper diagnosis and were advised to visit healthcare facilities for follow-up care where necessary.
Health professionals at the event emphasized the dangers of self-medication and encouraged residents to seek proper medical advice.

As part of the outreach, medical experts sensitized beneficiaries on common health issues, including eye diseases such as cataract and glaucoma, as well as the effects of high blood pressure on vision.
The initiative also promoted the importance of regular medical check-ups, particularly among women.Speaking during the event, Ambassador Jagila Yusuf, National Public Relations Officer of the foundation, highlighted the impact of the outreach and reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to improving healthcare access at the grassroots level.
The National Coordinator, Tolulope Akinsola, further noted that the foundation’s activities are driven by the passion of its founder, Dr. Sam Abioye, a Canada-based medical doctor who self-sponsors the initiative.
The outreach also featured contributions from partner groups, including House of Grace, which continues to support and empower individuals within the community without discrimination. Representatives of the group emphasized that the program is a yearly initiative designed to benefit both men and women.
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the foundation and its partners for the life-changing intervention, describing the outreach as impactful and timely.
The outreach reinforces the Dr Sam Abioye Foundation’s dedication to improving access to quality healthcare and making meaningful contributions to community development.
