Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has officially appointed Prof. Isaac Zeb-Obipi as the new Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University, located in Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt.
This announcement was made during a special government statement signed by Dr. Tammy Danagogo, the Secretary to the State Government, on Thursday in Port Harcourt.
The appointment is effective immediately.According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Prof. Zeb-Obipi succeeds Prof. Nlerum Okogbule, who was appointed as Vice Chancellor by former governor Nyesom Wike on March 5, 2020. Prof. Zeb-Obipi is a specialist in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management and previously served as the Director of the Information and Communication Technology Centre at the university prior to his new role.
