Eid-el-Fitr: Rt. Hon. Prince Adekunbi Suraj(PAS), Preaches Peaceful Coexistence Among Nigerians
As Muslims around the world celebrate the Feast of Breaking the Fast (Eid-el-Fitr) on Sunday March 30, Adekunbi, has called on Muslims to be in the campaign for peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.
“I want to congratulate every Muslim, and non Muslims as well. Let’s reflect on the teachings we were taught during the 30 days of fasting. Both Muslims and the Christians must remain calm and exhibit tolerance among ourselves.
“I want to admonish you all to continue to pray for this country and the leaders, all what we moved away from must completely be away from”, Adekunbi said.
The attributes of self-discipline, compassion, brotherliness and patriotism exhibited during the holy month of Ramadan, if sustained, will bring within our reach and attainment, the dreams of our founding fathers for a united and prosperous nation,” he said.
Adekunbi, also tasked Muslims on respect for the sanctity of life, noting that “Islam is a religion of peace”.
He advised the people to remain calm and steadfast in their dealings with others, adding that all that had been dropped during the month of Ramadan should not be returned to.
Adekunbi , enjoined all adherents of Islam to continue to strengthen their relationship with the Almighty Allah through fasting and prayers and obedience to the teachings of Prophet Muhammed (SAW).
Adekunbi wished the Muslim Ummah a happy celebration.
