Prominent Islamic cleric Sheikh Sulaiman Onikijipa has called on Nigerian Muslims to embody civility, knowledge, and unity in their daily lives, emphasizing that these qualities reflect the true essence of Islam.

During his Eid sermon at the Grammar School praying ground in Ojodu Berger, Lagos, the Grand Mufti of Ilorin highlighted the importance of extending the moral lessons learned during Ramadan beyond the fasting period.

He urged Muslims to live as examples of civility and peace, asserting that the essence of Ramadan should foster a more learned and informed community.

Onikijipa reminded worshippers that Eid-el-Fitr is a time for celebration, reflection, and gratitude, encouraging them to share goodness with loved ones and neighbors.He praised the joy of the occasion, reminding the faithful that it marks the culmination of their obedience to God during Ramadan.

In addition, Onikijipa stressed the necessity to maintain the good habits established during Ramadan throughout the year.

Additionally, he encouraged Nigerians to remain hopeful and continue praying for the nation’s recovery, instilling faith in a better future.
