Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State — In a deeply inspiring and emotional visit, renowned entrepreneur and real estate mogul Stephen Akintayo returned to Ago-Iwoye, home of Olabisi Onabanjo University, to retrace the humble beginnings that shaped his extraordinary journey to success.
Accompanied by his son, Akintayo took a walk down memory lane, stopping at the very one-room apartment where he lived as a student. It was within those modest walls that he conceived a bold and life-defining 50-year goal plan a vision that would later transform him into one of Nigeria’s most celebrated business figures.
Sharing personal stories, he revealed that Ago-Iwoye was not only where his dreams were born but also where he met his wife, making the visit even more significant as he introduced his son to the origins of their family story.
Akintayo recounted how his entrepreneurial spirit was ignited during his university days. From organizing impactful seminars to selling popcorn, e-books, and physical books, he maximized every opportunity available.
He also hosted trade fairs across both the mini and main campuses, demonstrating early signs of the business acumen that would later define his career.
The tour continued to Living Faith Church Ago-Iwoye, where he once served as Fellowship Coordinator and Drama Leader. Reflecting on his time there, Akintayo emphasized how the church played a pivotal role in shaping his leadership capacity and personal development.
He proudly recalled organizing what he described as the largest drama concert in the history of Ago-Iwoye, drawing an audience of over 4,000 people – a testament to his early ability to lead, mobilize, and inspire.
